Pam Plummer used to dread phone calls from her employees at Curves® of the Ojai Valley. Quite often, it would be bad news: another computer breakdown that required her immediate attention.
“I was being bothered by computer problems almost weekly,” she recalls. “Sometimes, the problem would take me four hours or more to sort out, and half my day was shot. There were times I had to drag my husband out of work to drive 45 minutes to fix the computer. Even when I was on vacation, I’d have to spend hours on the phone.”

Guests come to stay at the Ojai Retreat — the hilltop inn with its spectacular views, lush gardens and peaceful ambience — to get away from it all.
But not entirely. It turns out that many guests want wireless access in their rooms so they can connect to the Internet with their laptop computers.
Easier said than done. Trying to install a working wireless access system in the inn’s rooms and cottages had proven to be an elusive, often frustrating challenge. Admittedly, the job presented several complicating factors: buildings at different elevations and abundant trees and bushes that interfered with the power signal.
